Lissone, Italy – High School Seismic Performance and Strengthening Project (2022)

A seismic performance analysis and structural strengthening project was carried out for a high school complex located in Lissone, Italy. Within the scope of the project, core sampling, surface stripping, GPR radar scanning, and Ferroscan tests were conducted to assess the existing condition of the structures.

Based on the data obtained, the buildings were analyzed using nonlinear time-history analysis to accurately determine their seismic performance. According to the analysis results, structural strengthening projects were developed for each block and the sports hall, including detailed reinforcement and structural drawings.

The aim of this project was to improve the seismic resilience of existing school buildings and to ensure structural safety and functionality in compliance with current standards.
